Cool Roofs

Commercial roofs in Texas experience serious heat conditions. Cool roofs are very helpful because they greatly reduce temperatures by reflecting sunlight and heat away from the building. They are ideal for low slope roofs, which are normally used in commercial and industrial roofing. It also can be used for steep sloped roofs, which are commonly seen in residential and retail roofing systems. Cool roofs have many valuable benefits such as: reduced energy use, reduced air pollution, reduced greenhouse gas admissions (carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide), and it improves human health. They are one of the most environmentally friendly roofing systems in existence. Now there is just one disadvantage that may or may not have a bearing on your decision to go with a cool roofing system. In the winter you may have to use your heat more because of the inside of your building being cooler because of the roofing system.
